Yakima Skyrise Vs OVS Nomadic - Features

Body Construction

OVS Nomadic is constructed using 600D premium double rip-stop polyester-cotton waterproof canvas and a 420D polyester oxford waterproof rain fly. It is highly durable and is designed to handle extreme weather conditions like a pro (You never have to worry about water leaks).

As for Yakima Skyrise, It features a 210D Nylon body with a 210D Nylon Rainfly. This is the material used in most premium backcountry tents today. It's pretty durable, but we think Nomadic 3 got a slight edge when it comes to body construction.

Yakima Skyrise Mattress

Mattress

Nomadic 3 features a thick 3" high-density memory foam mattress and 2 memory foam pillows to make your sleep in the woods as comfortable as possible.

On the other hand, Yakima Skyrise features a 2.5” foam mattress. Even though it is not as thick as the OVS Nomadic mattress -- It is still quite comfortable to sleep on.

Setup and Takedown
