Roofnest Condor 2 XL vs OVS Bushveld - Features

Mattress

Roofnest Condor 2 XL Foam Mattress - The Roofnest Condor 2 roof top tent comes with a 2" thick memory foam mattress. There are thicker mattresses on the market, but this one is pretty darn comfortable.

Bushveld Foam Mattress - The OVS Bushveld comes with a 1" thick foam mattress with an anti-condensation mat to prevent moisture build-up underneath the mattress. This mattress is oddly one of the thinnest on the market, and decidedly less comfortable than the Roofnest Condor 2 XL's mattress.

Roofnest Condor 2 XL - Body Construction

The Roofnest Condor 2 XL has one of the best durable body constructions on the market today. Its shell is made using ASA/ABS plastic for weather resistance.

The walls are made using a polyurethane-coated polyester + cotton blend, and it has a rainfly with a waterproof rating of 3000mm - that's quite high and will withstand any weather.

To put it simply, no matter what weather you are camping in, you can trust the Roofnest Condor 2 XL to keep you safe and comfortable.

OVS Bushveld - Body Construction

The OVS Bushveld features a waterproof single-piece polymer shell. It is pretty durable, but not as strong as Roofnest's ABS shell. The walls of Bushveld are made using 600D rip-stop polyester-cotton.

And, like the Condor 2 XL, the Bushveld also includes a rainfly that is made using 420 poly oxford waterproof fabric to prevent water leaks during rainfall.

Setup and Takedown

Roofnest Condor 2 XL features a gas strut design. You can set it up in under 60 seconds and take it down in about 2 minutes. The process is super easy, and you can do it on your own.

OVS Bushveld features 2 nitrogen gas-charged 35.5” X 1” struts that let you set up in about 60 seconds as well and also take it down in under 2 minutes.

In other words, the process couldn't be simpler for both tents, and is WAY easier than ground tents.

Annex

Roofnest has pioneered an Awnex system - an awning and annex hybrid. It gives you maximum flexibility, since you have the option to add an awning, walls, and floors as you see fit.

It gives a massive 80 square feet of coverage and is made using a 420D polyester fabric.

OVS Bushveld has a large annex for the tent that is also made of a tough 420D polyester fabric. It isn't quite as modular as the Roofnest (you just get one piece) but it's equally as durable.
