Body Construction

Weighing about 165 lbs, CVT Mt Hood roof top tent is made using 280g Waterproof poly/cotton rip-stop canvas and aluminum honeycomb floor -- In other words, the CVT Mt hood can be used in any weather condition. It also features a low-profile design with a height of 8.5" when closed.

As for the BA Rugged, It is made using industry-leading 420D Nylon Oxford Waterproof Fabric and an ultra-slim 4.85” tall Extruded Aluminum Frame that supports up to 500lbs. This material is slightly better than the one used in the CVT Mt hood, but the best part about BA Rugged is its weight and height. It only weighs 113 lbs and has a highly low-profile height of 4.5" when closed.

BA Rugged Sleeping Pad

Mattress

CVT Mt Hood comes with a 3" thick memory foam mattress with a removable poly/cotton cover to make it easy for you to wash the mattress. The mattress itself is super comfortable and will help you sleep like a baby regardless of where you are camping.

On the other hand, BA Rugged doesn't include a mattress, but it does come with a 1" thick thermal regulating sleeping pad to keep you warm during cold winter nights. The pad itself is not very comfortable to sleep on; hence you will have to use a sleeping bag or mattress on top of it.

Setup and Takedown

Both CVT Mt Hood and BA Rugged feature a gas strut design that lets you set it up and take it down in under 30 seconds. The process is super easy, and you can do it on your without any help.
